	»Dubois Named Director of Bands Mr. William J. Dubois has been named as the new Director of Bands for Charlotte High. Mr. DuBois is a graduate of Florida Southern College with a Bachelors of Music Education degree, and holds a Master of Music Education degree from the Ohio State University. Mr. DuBois has been fortunate to have the opportunity to work with a number of collegiate, high school, and middle school band programs throughout Florida and Ohio. Mr. DuBois is a proud Charlotte High School alumnus (Class of 1999), having kept continual ties to several of the band programs in the area. Mr. DuBois' professional affiliations include the Music Educators National Conference, the Florida Music Educators Association, the Florida Bandmasters Association, the College Band Directors National Association, the High School Band Directors National Association, the World Association of Symphonic Bands and Ensembles, and the Conductors Guild. ............................... We now have the opporutnity to turn our attention to preparing for our Winter Bands Concert, Solo and Ensemble, and the FBA Concert Band activities. Additionally, we congratulate the CHS Football Team in their tremendous success this season. The Silver King Marching Band will continue to support their efforts through their 2008 playoff run. Future communications will be transmitted through a mass email list, a Parentlink Calling List (only CCPS Guardian Contact Numbers can be used), and this website. The Director of Bands is William J. DuBois. We offer Marching Band, Concert Band, Wind Ensemble, Jazz Band, Guard, and Basketball Pep Band. We perform on a frequent basis across the state of Florida.
